December 2016 Income

Total dividend income for December 2016 was $785.70. This is up 62.5% over the dividend income received in 2015! It is also more money that I received the entire year in 2012. It has been fun to see the portfolio and the dividends get larger and larger.

I also received a net total of $275.96 in options premium, bringing my monthly income total up to $1061.66. While I’d love to get over $1000 in a month in dividends, this marks the first time that I received over $1000 in a month from sources that include dividends and options. I hope to see more of these months in 2017.

I’ll be coming out soon with my 2016 recap.

Congrats on cracking the $1k mark between dividends and options premiums. Your year over year increase is very impressive as well. Just goes to show you are doing the right things and headed in the right direction. Nice long list of companies paying you for the month. As always, happy to see quite a few names in common. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I’m curious about your ADM ownership. Would you recommend adding it as a dividend stock?

Hi TheDividendLife, I haven’t looked at it closely enough lately to be able to recommend it in this market. However, I’m bullish on it in the future. It also has a great history of increasing dividends. The dividend has nearly tripled since 2007. Good luck with your decision!

  6. Awesome job! Getting over $1k is a huge milestone and great work on the 2016 yearly total. I’m sure you’ll crush 2017! I’ve set some ambitious goals myself, but that’s what makes it worthwhile!

  7. A 62% increase is freaking amazing. Congrats on the nice month! Receiving option income is also awesome; however, I like the increase in the steady flowing dividend income stream. Lets see if you can replicate this figure again in 2017!

  8. Nice work! A 62% YoY increase. You crushed it. Nice job crossing over $1k with the addition of the options premiums.

[…] Two Investing – $785.70 –  A 62% year over year increase is one heck of a way to finish the year strong.  Congrats on crushing it!  It is always nice to see so many common names on a dividend stock listing. […]
