March 2015 Income

March has historically been one of the higher payout months. This March did not disappoint with contributions coming from 18 of my 30 stocks.

Total dividend income for March 2015 was $617.32. In March 2014 I received $258.07; in March 2013, I received $103.64; and in March 2012, I received $59.46. In fact, in the entire year of 2012, I received $649.30 in dividends. Only 3 years later and I almost received that entire annual amount in a single month!

Options: I don’t have any currently open put options.

As soon as work calms down I’ll be able to get some more blog posts out. I have a few that are in the works, including one talking about a new investment idea.

Thanks, R2R. March is certainly a good month for dividends. I’m thankful right now too that some of the companies I hold are down a bit. My reinvested dividends are able to work a little harder for me that way. Thanks for visiting!

You’re doing so awesome Scott! Over $600 is beyond amazing and you could really use that cash flow in real life situations should you need to. I’m sending good vibes your way regarding work, hopefully things calm down a bit for you on that front… without sacrificing the income. Best Wishes!

Thanks, Ryan! You know, it’s kind of weird because $600 would pay for my rent this month, yet it really doesn’t feel like all that much when you have it coming in at various intervals throughout the month. Also, I never actually “see” that cash since it is automatically reinvested. However, I’m not about to turn that off quite yet! It is especially nice now since a few of my stocks have unrealized losses. Maybe in a few years once the monthly dividends are up to $1500 or so I might turn off automatic reinvestment and be a bit more selective a la Dividend Mantra.

As always, thanks again for visiting and the good vibes about work! Take care!

March was also very good for me, first time ever above $300/month.

Thanks! With all the capital you’ve been putting to use, it looks like you’ll be routinely setting some new records too. I like that you’re looking to European stocks. With the appreciated dollar, this would be a good time to find some bargains.

    Take care!

Thanks. It looked like it was a good March for you as well. $648 is an incredible amount as well. Congratulations on beating your old record month. Looks like my next goal should be to try and catch up to you! Haha.

I’ll try to get some of those posts out shortly.

  5. Just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Liebster Award. Good job.

    Keep cranking,

Thanks, Robert! I appreciate the nomination. I was nominated last year as well, but I’ll see if my co-author, Johnny, would be able to respond to this one.
