Sept 2013 MCD Dividend Increase

McDonalds (MCD) recently increased its quarterly cash dividend to $0.81 per share ($3.24 annualized) payable on December 16, 2013 to shareholders on record as of December 2, 2013. While this is only a 5.2% increase compared with MCD’s 14.4% and 11.1% 5-year and (prior) 1-year dividend growth rates, respectively, it still is a respectable increase, keeping MCD’s streak intact. As the economy picks up, I think that MCD will be able to raise the dividend by more in the future.

This will increase my annual MCD dividend from $93.12 to $97.96. As of today, this will raise my annual dividend to $1545 from $1540.
