September 2015 Income
September has historically been one of the higher payout months. Total dividend income for September 2015 was $635.77, an all time single month record! In September 2014 I received $312.11; in September 2013, I received $186.88; and in September 2012, I received $87.42. I like the trend that I’m seeing!

Awesome Scott. Wonderful isn’t it? Love the upward movement. Slow and surely my friend. Keep at it and DON”T STOP.
Cheers.

Thanks, Dividend Hustler. The upward movement is awesome. Hopefully I’ll get up to your level sometime soon! Haha.
The growth of your dividend on a YoY basis is just enormous! Keep going with the snowball.
It is nice to see that you mention also your option income. I will be doing this as well going forward. I like the “trading feel” I get from writing options.

Thanks, Amber Tree. I’m still reinvesting the dividends received back into the company that paid it and it is fun to see the annual dividend slowly creep up just by the small addition of the reinvested dividends. I can’t wait until the snowball gets bigger!
At some point, probably when I’m consistently receiving greater than $1000 a month in dividends, I’ll stop reinvesting the dividends automatically and instead combine that with fresh capital in order to be a little more selective in buying companies that are better valued.
Since I’ve gotten a better options commission pricing from Schwab, I can definitely see selling covered calls and cash-secured puts as a big supplement to dividend investing.
Thanks again for visiting!
Kudos on a fantastic month. $600 + a month is life changing. More that this, it proves that dedication to DGI investing works. Imagine how much your monthly take will be in 5-10 years. Keep up the good work.

Some great totals for the month of September from many high quality names. Congrats on a successful options month as well. Much better than 2014!

Thanks, DivHut. When you’re negative for options in 2014, it makes beating that number much easier the following year! Haha
